Can you tell me what is happening with Sherwood Library?

Answer

Sherwood library was originally closed following a review of the building's ceiling and alcove plaster. The current buildings were in a poor state of repair and the library no longer met the standards expected by library users.

Following this closure, details to build a new Sherwood Library were revealed, contracts were signed with a developer, and the whole site is being redeveloped.

Hockley Developments have been on site since mid 2021 to begin works.
